How to get here
On foot or by bike
​
If you want to get here on foot or by bike, take the beautiful promenade along the river Talvera. Enjoy the walk which lasts around 30 minutes or the ride with the bike!
Public transport
​
You can get to Runkelstein Castle also using public transport from the central piazza Walther Platz: line 12 during the week, line 14 on Sunday and holidays (stops at the station of the cable car of San Genesio). Click here for further information.
By car
​
Take the road which goes to Sarntal Valley (SS 508) and turn right before the first tunnel. At the bottom of the castle you will find a free and unattended parking.
Attention: it is NOT possibile to get to the castle by car!
Important!
Once you have got off the bus or you have parked your car, you have to continue on foot. Since there is a climb of 5-10 minutes, we advise to wear suitable shoes.
