How to get here
On foot or by bike
If you want to get here on foot or by bike, take the beautiful promenade along the river Talvera. Enjoy the walk which lasts around 30 minutes or the ride with the bike!
You can get to Runkelstein Castle also using public transport from the central piazza Walther Platz: line 12 during the week, line 14 on Sunday and holidays (stops at the station of the cable car of San Genesio). Click here for further information.
The free shuttle bus will run again from June 1st 2022: the bus starts in piazza Walther (first trip at 9.30am) and brings our visitors to the bus stop near the castle (last trip at 6pm).
On Friday and Saturday the bus stops also at the gallery of Antonio Dalle Nogare Fondazione.
Take the road which goes to Sarntal Valley (SS 508) and turn right before the first tunnel. At the bottom of the castle you will find a free and unattended parking.
Attention: it is NOT possibile to get to the castle by car!
Once you have got off the bus or you have parked your car, you have to continue on foot. Since there is a climb of 5-10 minutes, we advise to wear suitable shoes. In case of deambulatory issues or other necessites, our shuttle can take you near the entrance. Please inform us at the time of reservation.
